Promiseland Teacher Opening

We currently have an opening in Promiseland for a Grades 2 & 3 teacher at the 10:45 service. If you enjoy teaching kids or have always wanted to “try it out”,  now would be a great time. In these volunteer positions, it is very rewarding to see growth in the children’s  lives and you might even see some growth in your own as well! See Sue Wells for more details.

CBC Couples Retreat – Book Your Room Now!

I do…I did…Now What? Have you allowed the daily reality of married life and outside stress to snuff out the flame that once burned? At this year’s couples retreat, March 2-4, we will revisit the marriage vows once made and re-commit  to a wonderful future together. Registration brochures are located at the Got Questions Center in the church lobby. In addition to registering with CBC, if you are planning to attend, you must call the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Valparaiso to book your room.  Their number is  219-464-9395. 

Baskets of Hope

From the Mission Board: SOAR International with whom we partner in bringing Christmas Stockings and Bibles to Russian children, is having their annual Baskets of Hope Project. Baskets of Hope began after the 2004 Beslan school massacre. As the 2005 Easter season approached, a local church invited Richard Page, the director of SOAR, to Beslan to minister to families who survived this unbelievable terrorist shooting. Many of those experiencing deep despair received the gentleness of God’s love through Dick’s compassion, the Gospel message and a simple gift – an Easter basket. God’s love rekindled HOPE in many hearts and ignited the Baskets of Hope project.
